No one knew if it was going to take off or what it was going to be because no one had seen anything like that before. We were in unchartered waters. Then, when we opened, and everything took off the way it did, it changed the country as far as how people looked at food. It was a very, very magical place to be. To be successful, you have to have a combination of tenacity and passion.
