Trevor paintings nashville restaurant

Behind the massive marble reception desk at the new Hyatt Centric hotel downtown, nestled between a turquoise accent wall and two small, framed art pieces, is a large painting of a multicolored rabbit, aptly titled, Technicolor Bunny by Trevor Mikula. Trevor is one of 16 local artists represented by the Nashville Artist Collective whose works are on display throughout the hotel.

One particularly striking piece is an abstract mural by Tess Davies, located near the lobby elevators, that she created by combining various house paints in shades of blue to look like watercolors. On the 9th floor near the pool and fitness center, a series of playful, digitally created pieces by Katherine Stratton Miller, depicting swimmers and female figures in yoga poses, dot the teal-and-white-striped walls.

There are more than pieces of local art curated by the Artist Collective throughout the hotel. The hotel, designed by Hastings Architecture, with interiors by New York-based Stonehill Taylor, boasts guest rooms, 11 of them suites.
